The Cathedral of St. Helena offers two eight-week marriage preparation sessions in the Fall and Spring. Once an engaged couple decides to celebrate their marriage in the Roman Catholic Church, their first step is to contact the Faith Formation office. A minimum of six months is required between the initial contact with the parish and the wedding date. During the six months, you will be asked to participate in a marriage preparation process.
The eight weekly sessions cover the topics of:
- Sacrament
- Domestic Church
- Communication
- Finances
- Intimacy
- Natural Family Planning (NFP)
- Parenting
- The Wedding Ceremony
The couples will have a chance to journal, dialogue, and really process the idea of a sacramental marriage in a relaxed format. A dedicated team of married couples lead the various sessions and share their own experiences of marriage.
The Winter 2012 Session will begin – Monday - February 6th - 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, in Rm 110 of the Cathedral Center.
