Confirmation Requirements:
It’s finally here! The year that you will decide to become a disciple for Christ. What an important adventure for you, an adventure that shouldn’t be taken lightly. the requirements for confirmation shouldn’t be looked at as “have-to’s: but as “want to’s”. Think about it this way, you wouldn’t take off on a long journey without a direction in mind, some money in your pockets, food, water and a couple of changes of clothing, would you? Well, that is what the requirements are for Confirmation are about, preparing you for your faith journey and making sure you have the proper stuff in place to have the time of your life!
So what do you need for this journey?
- Be at least a junior in High School
- Attend all confirmation classes
- Be enrolled and active in the High School FF Program or High School Youth Group
- Complete 6 hours of Community Service through the church or one of our ministries
- Attend a retreat
- Choose a sponsor
- That’s basically it!
Plan Ahead:
Start thinking about the commitment you are about to make! Keep these dates and times open. The information is out now…Plan ahead. My goal is to make this as easy and enjoyable as it can be! This should be a time of celebration and faith building, not paperwork and hassles!
Christ calls us together as a community of believers to celebrate and rejoice in each others faith. Let us come together as one body of Christ and carry out his mission on earth.
