The Cathedral Choir

The Cathedral Choir sings choral literature from the Western canon with a focus on polyphonic Renaissance, Baroque, and Modern works. The choir practices on Thursday night from 7:00-8:30 pm. The Choir Season is divided into two parts: September through Christmas and Epiphany through Corpus Christi. The Choir sings for the 11:00 A.M. Masses on Sundays and Solemnities. As this is a ministry, attendance is required at all major Solemnities.

Eligibility: Men and women, ages 16 and older. An audition is not required; however, it is necessary to meet with the director of music to determine which voice part is appropriate. Reading music is not required, but strongly encouraged. Potential and willingness to learn is desired.

Cathedral Brass and Trombone Choir

The Cathedral Brass is open to parishioners who play brass instruments: Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba, Euphonium, and French Horn. The Cathedral Brass will play at all major Solemnities and Feasts throughout the church year. The Trombone Choir is a branch of the Cathedral Brass. For information please contact Joe Michaletz at geolex@mt.net
