This week as we enter together in our Lenten journey, I thought I would again share this poem with all of you. Over the past two years at the beginning of Lent I have shared this poem. Many of you asked if I would continue doing this. Who am I to break with tradition. So here you go and I hope it blesses all of you!
DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE?
Do you really believe that I exist?
And for you I truly care
As you sit in front of your color TV.
And relax in your easy chair?
Do you really believe that I exist?
And for you I have the time?
As you carefully read everyone else’s words
But have no time for mine
Do you really believe that I exist?
For I have so many gifts to share?
And yet you let the day just waste away
Without a word of prayer
Do you really believe that I exist?
For there’s nothing more I can do.
I care for you so much my child
I even died for you
Do you really believe at all?
