This week, we are featuring Catholic Social Services of Montana (CSSM). With an office and staff located at the Center for Catholic Life in Helena, CSSM is an integral part to many families in the area. We are grateful to Scott Held and those with whom he works. The following is from Scott and we hope you enjoy:
Catholic Social Services of Montana (CSSM) is based out of the Center for Catholic Life in Helena, MT, but serves both the Diocese of Helena and the Diocese of Great Falls-Billings. CSSM’s current ministry supports birthmothers, children, and adoptive parents through the adoption process, ensuring children are placed in loving homes. Additionally, CSSM supports the Helena community through the Baby Boutique in the Brondel Center at the Cathedral of St. Helena, which provides diapers, baby clothes, etc. to mothers in-need free of charge.
Recently appointed Executive Director, Scott Held, a member of the Cathedral Parish in Helena, aims to expand the ministries offered by CSSM in the future, while maintaining adoption services as a top priority. He will be traveling the state in the coming months, determining needs in Montana and how CSSM can fulfill or support those needs. CSSM currently has two major fundraisers, which include the annual golf tournament in Helena and the annual Dueling Pianos event in Billings.
