The Catholic Corner : your source for news & information about entities and offices working for the Kingdom in Helena, MT.

"The number and the substantial character of the Catholic institutions the city possesses, occasion no small surprise to the casual visitor... we do not know of another city of 17,000 that can boast of as many religious, charitable and educational institutions."

It has now been nearly 84 years since Father Gilmore wrote these words in his description of Helena's Catholic patrimony. A town of gold and governors, Helena has always been unique in what she has to offer. Much has changed, but what endures is the legacy and present efforts of Catholic entities to evangelize the culture of our time. Weekly, The Catholic Corner will highlight the numerous personnel and entities that do this, God's work, in the heart of the Diocese, the Queen City.

Fun fact: Did you know Helena was home to a Catholic high school, two grade schools, college, orphanage, hospital, and a house for homeless women? Many of these institutions were located on "Catholic Hill", near the firetower.
