Music at the Cathedral of Saint Helena

If you like music and like to sing,

Below are listed some wonderful

opportunities for participation

in liturgies in your parish as

well as becoming acquainted with others

who share the same interests!

The Cathedral Boys Choir is for boys, ages 7 – voice change. The schedule for the Cathedral Boys Choir will be given at the first rehearsal (generally singing once at month at the 11:00 a.m. Mass).

Eligibility: Boys ages 7 – voice change. (Please register before September 13 by calling the Cathedral office. Because space is limited pre-registration is preferred and the fee for early registration is $40. (The fee will be $50 after September 15).

Rehearsals: Rehearsals are held on Thursday afternoons from 3:30 until 4:30 p.m. The first rehearsal will be on Thursday, September 15 at 3:30 p.m.

The St. Cecilia Choir is for girls. The schedule for  the St. Cecilia Choir will be given at the first rehearsal (generally singing once at month at the 11:00 a.m. Mass).

Eligibility: Girls ages 7 – 15 (Please register before September 13 by calling the Cathedral office. Because space is limited pre-registration is preferred and the fee for early registration is $40. (The fee will be $50 after September 13).

Rehearsals: Rehearsals are held on Tuesday afternoons from 3:30 until 4:30 p.m. The first rehearsal will be on Tuesday, September 13 at 3:30 p.m.

The Cathedral Choir sings choral literature from all musical periods: Gregorian Chant, Renaissance polyphony, Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Contemporary music. The Cathedral Choir sings at all 11:00 Masses.

Eligibility: Men and women, ages 16 and older.

Rehearsals: Rehearsals are held on Sundays following the 11:00 a.m. Mass. The first rehearsal will be on Wednesday, September 14 at 6:30 p.m.
